Today was our day to learn venipuncture for CT injections. We had to do two successful sticks on our classmates after a practice run on this dummy arm. It wasn't anything close to the real thing, but it helped me to learn my technique so I knew what to do and wasn't killing my partner during the real thing. Surprisingly, it's not all that hard. I just had to overcome my fear of hurting the patient. Me getting stuck twice on the other hand, OUCH! And I didn't pass out so that's always good.
