59/365: Bath time!

Lately, Cyrus has been smelling like dog (aka Frito feet) so i gave him a bath today. He has always been good in the bath tub. Only once has he tried to jump out. He usually just gives in and lets me do what I have to do because he realizes that warm water plus a massage feels good, as you can see by the dopey look on his face.

Afterwords, to help with the dry off process, Cyrus proceeds to do about 10 full speed, tail tucked, laps around the living room which cracks me up everytime.

58/365: Wine rack full!

BevMo's one cent sale = Full wine rack

well it would be full if we took off the top shelf and had only the bottom 4 spaces. but that would just take up too little space on the already teeny counter top.

57/365: Warm colors

It's been pretty warm and sunny out the last two days or so and I love the color that the sun at this time of day casts into the apartment. It's a very warm yellow color.

Today was a pretty easy day. Floor till 1, class till 3:30, home by 4:15. Now I'm catching up on tiVo recordings until american idol :)

56/365: Weekend craft project

Well, I would have done it tonight if i didn't have to study sectional anatomy. Or watch American Idol. Now I have to wait :) and so do you.

55/365: Violating Mr. Bones

I grumpily arrived early to work this morning and decided to stick an empty bag of pretzels in the skeleton's mouth. In doing so, I felt completely happy and devious.

54/365: This is me tonight

First day back at the big house and I'm already overworked and dead. I don't even wanna hear "oh, well welcome to the life of a tech" one more time or i'll shin kick the ass who is telling it to me. And please don't touch me, let alone slap the back of my head. I don't know you. Not cool.

Sore heels, knees, chest and back. I'm over it.

17 weeks.

UPDATE from post #48: The go away mat....it didnt work. Just got our first solicitors with it. Bastards.

53/365: Trying my hand at card making.

I've probably only made three cards that I ever gave out to people but I think this one looks pretty cute. I cut out my own bird template, drew on the little tails and feet with a glitter pall point pen, and the stickers are made of velum.

Anyway, I've been waiting all week for an order from Etsy, which was lost in the mail and the seller is being more than kind with sending me another package. I would probably be having more fun on this rainy day putting together what I ordered, but I can't tell what it is because it is a surprise for someone who reads this blog :)

52/365: We must be the meanest pug owners ever

Don't let his little stunt fool you. He hasn't been neglected. He hasn't been abused or yelled at. He can possibly be the most spoiled pug alive. He is waiting to eat.

Yes, this is Cyrus' way of letting us know that it is time for his second breakfast of the day. It usually starts around 5pm even though we don't feed him until his NORMAL dinner time which is 6:30 or 7:00.

And it's sad and pathetic and he knows it works most of the time, because once he is sitting around like this, it tugs on our heartstrings so we have to get up and do just what he intended all along.

51/365: I Love Him

I am the luckiest girl alive to have this boy in my life.

That is all :)

50/365: Just me today

I really didn't do anything today. I was so unproductive, even in class, that I had nothing to take a picture of but myself.

Lately I've been feeling very annoyed with school. I wish we would stop having new classes and just start reviewing for the registry. Focus on one thing instead of 9. There are only 18 weeks left and I am just over learning new information. My brain is full. It has reached capacity. It's ready to blow! I'm really ready for this to be over.

I miss my family, I miss my free time, I miss making my own money, I miss NOT being lazy and I miss my in-shape body. I'm disorganized, I'm slipping into my "I don't give a f*ck" mode and what's bad is I don't care.

I know everything will be alright in the end. It usually is...

especially if I can get a fairly decent haircut :)

49/365: Let there be sun!

After a what feels like a solid week of rain, we had a break in the weather and it's actually pretty nice out, so Cyrus went on the deck to take advantage of it. I saw him out there so I brought out his old fleece bed that I made and he made himself comfortable.

I don't know what he was doing with that silly face of his, I always seem to catch him doing something funny. But he looks like he is talking and I caught him mid-sentence.

48/365: It's how I feel

I got this today from kitchenkapers.com and i love it.

Hopefully it will work.

47/365: The best white wine, Oyster Bay

I find that my taste in certain things have changed over the years, especially with alcohol. Actually, I suppose you can call me a wine snob, with the frequent trips we take to nearby wineries, etc. though I'm probably more of a beer snob (that's a whole different post).

But anyway, this white wine is delicious. We first had it at our favorite fondue restaurant and when we saw it in the store we bought it right away. These two bottles kept us company this weekend.

Is it bad that I am actually thirsty for it? hehe

46/365: Candy Love

I don't care if its bad for your teeth, or what it may do to your arteries. If it's sweet and delicious, and if I'm bored and its raining out, I'm going to eat it.

45/365: <3

From my valentine :)

44/365: Walking the poog

I know that whenever I am stuck on an idea for this 365 project, I can always count on cyrus. We were out on a walk and it started raining, so I think the reason he is twisting around like that licking his lips is because he felt the rain drops on his back.

Or maybe he is just any other psycho pug.

43/365: Another drive by shooting

The sky all day today was looking like mother nature was about to throw up on us. This was a pic from the drive into work this morning. But on the way home, the sky was much darker. The kind of dark that makes the green tree leaves look like they are flipped upside down with that silvery green color. I enjoy that look.

"Fidelity": Don't Divorce... from Courage Campaign on Vimeo.

Ken Starr, who led the campaign to impeach President Bill Clinton, filed a legal brief last month -- on behalf of the "Yes on 8" campaign -- that would forcibly divorce 18,000 same-sex couples that were married in California last year before the passage of Prop 8.

Watch "Fidelity" and sign our letter to the state Supreme Court. Tell the Supreme Court to invalidate Prop 8, reject Ken Starr's case, and let loving, committed couples marry. DEADLINE: Valentine's Day.

179,615 people have signed this letter (as of Wednesday, February 11). Our Courage Campaign community goal is 200,000 signers. Will you add your name now?:

42/365: Long lunch break

Today the xray tube for the clinic broke and smelled of smoke so we had to turn a few patients away until it got fixed. But because of the down time, I got to take an extra long lunch break so I snapped a few shots from the roof of the parking garage and this one was taken with my super zoom. Personally, I think it's a pretty cool looking shot :)

In case you can't read it, it says:

"South San Francisco, The Industrial City"

41/365: Is this really necessary?

I ordered some beads from oriental trading with the only reason being because i had a free 10$ coupon. What girl can resist a deal like that? So I basically only paid for shipping.

Well, i wonder why i had to pay 6$ for shipping. Look at how damn big that box is! And only for those two tiny little bead packages. WTF oriental trading, you're a trip.

40/365: Who says this?

A crazy old-fashioned person maybe lol.
And what would there even be to steal in an old ass out-patient clinic? Maybe they can use their super strength to up and steal the x-ray machine. Or maybe they want to do away with the stool samples from the lab.

Either way, this sign made me laugh today during this boring, everything-is-going-wrong kinda day.

39/365: Dog Toys

Cyrus has a whole basket full (more of a heaping overflow) of dog toys which he gets to rummage through whenever he is bored and picks one (or 6) out to play with. These plush ones seem to be his favorites, especially the yellow pineapple in the back. And because these are his favorites, I have to sew up the holes he has created in them numerous times because he will lick them to death and try to decapitate them. But for only being worth about 4$ each, they lasted pretty long, especially that pineapple. He's had that pineapple for about 4 years now, since he was a puppy, and he just finally now managed to rip a tiny hole in it which i had to sew or he would eat all the stuffing out. When i finally gave him his pineapple back, he didn't even recognize it at first because its been a long time since i took it away to sew. I guess he's not as that attached as I thought. In a dog's mind if it's out of sight, it's out of mind lol

38/365: Random Hike (and 2 for 1 pics today!)

We were going to go to Berkley for a few hours today, but I was feeling sick and really tired so we turned around and on the way back we stopped at this park off the freeway to make our little trip worth the 4$ we paid for the toll.

There was this cute little barn and a bunch of what i think were prairie dogs running around. It was really cute and I'm happy the weather is so nice again :)

And because those little prairie dogs were so stinkin cute, I'm posting two pictures for the day!

37/365: Still raining.

I's been raining the last few days and I am loving it. Didn't do much today, just relaxed at home and went to a matinee to see Taken. It's a good movie, but parts of it made me feel sick to my stomach. I won't spoil it though, but I left there feeling kinda depressed. And I definitely will be thinking twice about letting my future kid go to Europe alone lol

36/365: My weekly commute.

I drive around 300 miles a week commuting in this car.
That's 6.6 hours a week.
That's 400 minutes.
That's 24,000 seconds.

That's entirely way too long for me to be on the road dealing with so many assholes.

35/365: Calm before the storm.

It's supposed to rain tomorrow and Thursday and the people of California are freaking out. I, personally, enjoy the rain. The sound, the smell, the whole staying indoors thing. Thunder makes it even better, but I still have yet to hear thunder out here.

So in preparation for the rain I took all but 2 minutes to put our chairs in the storage closet out there, and cover the bbq. Whew, didn't think I could handle it.

34/365: Brain dead

This is me....after one of the longest days ever....and a 200 question, 3 hour mock registry test, which i still managed to fail.

That's why we are starting to practice early.

I'm going to enjoy my Czechvar now.

33/365: It's gonna take a lot more than that ;)

My mom sent me some much needed makeup from Avon. I've been using the same old stuff for a while now and needed some new colors. Though, with the way I feel and look lately, it's going to take a lot more than that to make me look pretty again. ugh.

But I do still love getting packages from my mommy :)

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to drench myself in beer because today was flipping crazy and non-stop madness. grrrrr

32/365: Superbowl!

Even though the Trojans aren't in the Superbowl this year, this is Cy's only jersey so I thought it would be fitting for today's picture of the day.

Besides, he's showing support for his dad's alma mater :)

PS- I won 500$ in a superbowl pool tonite!!!! weeeeeeee!
