70/365: More patio garden additions

I'm sorry, i really am. I can no longer boast about posting a picture every day because i missed yesterday, day #69 :( I worked the late shift, came home at 10, ate dinner and had to go to bed right away because i worked the early shift today at 7:30. So i really didn't have any time, or motivation, to take a picture of the day and I am disappointed in myself. It's only three months in and it's proving to be hard already. But the cool thing, or depressing thing actually, was that the moon that was out when i drove home from work last night, was still out when i drove back to work this morning :/

So here is my new window box. I wanted some color instead of greens only, but I'm pretty sure i will end up killing them. Color = kill. I have better luck with just green viney plants. But we'll see...

68/365: California Academy of Sciences

So for my birthday today, Bri took me to the California Academy of Sciences which is this really cool new aquarium/science museum type place in San Francisco. These are my favorite shots of the cutest little creatures that live there. It's a pretty fun place.

67/365: Second break-in, second sterio gone

But this time, it wasn't at our apt complex and they broke the window to get at it because the doors were locked.

So after 40 minutes of dust busting the broken glass out...

we have a nice new plastic bag as a window. The Snowbird bag is from Bri's snowboarding trip where the car was broken in to. It makes it all kinda funny in an odd, pissed the f*ck off kinda way...

There is no way we will be able to sell this piece of crap now. Once I start working, it's off to being donated so we can get a tax write off. Boy, what I would love to do to the bastards' car who did this to mine.

66/365: Some new plants

I am becoming obsessed with plants. Last weekend, Osh had a buy one get one sale on hanging plants so I got two of those which are on the deck, and I also got the 4" fern in the background, but I liked the way this macro zoom came out on the jade plant.

I still have a window box to fill but I'm not sure what i want to put in it yet. I like my plants to stay green or colorful all year round and with flowers, they usually die on me or never bloom again so I want to stay away from that disappointment waiting to happen. Any ideas?

65/365: My favorite strip of apartment sidewalk.

For some reason, every time I make the turn to go down this strip of sidewalk, it makes me happy. Like something inside me is very pleased. I think it's the aesthetics of it...like with the way the light falls, the tallness of the buildings, and the greeness of the grass. It is very pleasing to the eye and makes me happy for a while.

64/365: Nothing worth blogging...

but i need to post a pic so....

i guess i am just surprised that the apartment, that was cleaned 4 days ago, is still neat.

maybe that is because bri is in utah for the week snowboarding hehe.

63/365: Day off

I love my days off and I did absolutely nothing. It was perfect ...well i ran the dishwasher. Then i took a nap because I wasn't feeling too well. Now I feel better and will probably take this baby out for a walk before the rain starts again. His face is made for taking pictures :)

62/365: Droplets

I love my mega zoom function. I get so happy to see how clear an image i can get at such a close mag.

Still raining, but warm at least. Better than all the snow my fam is getting in NY. I'll take rain over snow any day!

61/365: Forcing myself to study

I can't believe no one wants a free necklace..... :(

Anyway, I had to force myself to study tonight for a big test tomorrow because it is so incredibly boring. The goal was to study from 5 until 8, which is when the Bachelor is on but it's only 7:20 and I can't stand to look at another book already. Guess I'm calling it an early night...

60/365: Watercolor sky

It's been raining all day and the sky looks angry and beautiful all at once.
